New Roots Productions is sad to report that the Chicago Reggae Festival will be on hiatus in 2009. With the unfortunate state of the economy and lack of sponsor support, a 2009 installment of this great event is impossible. We look forward to bringing you a stellar CRF III line-up in 2010! As always, we’re committed to bringing you the best reggae artists in the world, keeping our ticket prices low, and benefitting the global community. Please stay tuned to our websites where we’ll post the latest information about any upcoming New Roots events, and feel free to post your events on our CRF message board.

i just stopped by to check whether you had the lineup for 2009 and i have to say that i am CRUSHED!!! crf was the highlight of my summer in '07 and '08. well, i do understand and i wish you luck in the future and hope that you can bless chicago with another wonderful show in 2010.

So sad to hear that you guys cant get the funding for Reggae Fest. That makes me so sad, I loved the previous two summers and will be feeling somethings missing. Wishing you all the best for the years to come and hoping you can get some support.
