[Chicago Reggae Festival 2008]

On Thurs., Sept. 17th, head back to the Old Town School for a free Rastafari workshop, in which Sister Carol will speak about Rastafarianism; beliefs, customs, diet and myths. As a teacher, artist and woman in the spotlight, she has a unique perspective to share. Learn from a rasta with deep convictions and knowledge of this often misunderstood way of life.

Show was free ($5.00 suggested donation) and Irie. Workshop was $20 but was canceled due to time constraints (Mother Culture had a gig in Detroit added to the tour at the last minute).

Looking forwward to Thomas Mapfumo and Blacks Unlimited on Wednesday October 7 - same time - same place - same deal with Thursday Workshop too.
